State governments play a critical role in shaping the future of education. ALI is dedicated to supporting and advancing state-level policies that foster innovative research and development (R&D) in education, with a focus on building sustainable, evidence-based solutions that can scale.
ALI has expanded its focus on state policy approaches and engaged with state leaders, policymakers, and education experts to drive forward education R&D efforts. We believe that states are uniquely positioned to be leaders in the development, testing, and scaling of innovative educational practices that can create transformative change for students, educators, and communities.
Our state policy work is rooted in collaboration, as we actively work with state leaders to build partnerships that align local priorities with national research initiatives. Through these collaborations, we aim to help states build strong, data-driven education systems that prioritize innovation and long-term success for all students. By prioritizing investment in education innovation, states can:
