ALI’s recommendations for the redesign of the Institute of Education Sciences are informed by the Blueprint for the Future of the Federal Role in K-12 Education R&D.
In this letter, ALI shares recommendations for the Institute Of Education Sciences redesign plan in response to the Request for Information: Feedback on Redesigning the Institute of Education Sciences. ALI’s recommendations are informed by the work of the Future of Federal Education R&D Task Force, which produced a Blueprint for the Future of the Federal Role in K-12 Education R&D in partnership with InnovateEDU and the Learning System Leadership Network (LSLN). To be highly effective, the key functions of a federal education R&D system must invest in research and innovation, empower state and local leaders, and collect and analyze meaningful data.
