Kathryn Petrillo-Smith

Kathryn Petrillo-Smith serves as Treasurer of ALI's Board. Petrillo-Smith has spent her career developing and operationalizing strategy to allow mission-driven organizations to grow and thrive. She currently serves as the Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer at Digital Promise. During her 12-year tenure at Digital Promise, she has been instrumental in successfully scaling from fewer than 10 staff and $2 million in annual revenue to more than 215 dispersed staff and $125 million in annual revenue. Before joining Digital Promise, Kathryn worked at Exponent Philanthropy, an organization dedicated to strengthening and inspiring small-staff philanthropy, where she serves as Managing Director. Kathryn also worked in environmental policy at the Environmental Protection Agency, implementing innovative market-based mechanisms to reduce air pollution, and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bulgaria. Kathryn holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BS in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University.
