Support for the House introduction of the NEED Act of 2025 to strengthen education research and development (R&D) to improve student learning and sharpen the United States’ competitive edge in an increasingly technology-rich world.

In November 2025, ALI submitted a letter providing input on the National Strategic Plan for Advanced Manufacturing. In the letter, ALI  recommends that the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), on behalf of the Subcommittee on Advanced Manufacturing of the National Science and Technology Council, support the scaling of education innovations aligned with advanced manufacturing workforce and industry-driven needs through strategic public-private partnerships and federal cross-agency coordination and leadership.
